Getting there:
By car: We recommend parking at the Hilton (see below) and walking from there.
On foot: From the Hilton, walk out the front door and across the main road onto Dock Street. It’s an 8-10 minute walk to the west – here’s a map.
Public transit: Take the Market-Frankford Line to 2nd Street Station, and walk one block west and 3 blocks south.

Be there by:
4:30pm is when the ceremony will start. (doors open at 4:00)

Social Hour:
Immediately following the ceremony, the house and grounds will open for a social hour until it’s time to go to the reception. Enjoy light food, beverages, and tours by house guide Jennifer Davidson

About:
The Powel House is a historic mansion in Old City, Philadelphia. It has an outdoor courtyard and a variety of receiving rooms. Its architecture is on display at the Met.

Walking? It’s a 3 block walk from the ceremony space; the front door is mapped here.
Driving? This map location will get you to the entrance of the parking garage. Day parking for wedding attendees (non-overnight) is at a discounted rate of $12.

7:00 is when the reception starts. (doors open at 6:45)

About:
The Hilton Penn’s Landing (there are multiple Hiltons in Philadelphia; be aware) is located on the waterfront along the Delaware River. If you have extra time to visit, there are plenty of nearby attractions - several right outside the front door.

Parking

The Powel House and the Hilton are 3 blocks apart from each other in downtown Philadelphia. If you’re driving, we recommend using the parking garage by the Hilton. (see above)

Attire

This will be a non-stuffy wedding in late summer, partly outdoors but mostly indoors. We have no strong feelings on the matter.
